doesn't work with Windows 2000 .There is no availiable driver at this
moment.

Even though there is an "unknown scsi-scannerdevice" in the device-manager, the Mustek Paragon 600 II CD works properly with Adaptec controllers (1505 ISA, 2904CD PCI and 2940U PCI) under Windows 2000 Professional with an old Windows 95 driver. http://home.t-online.de/home/moritz.kuerten/1p32bit.exe

Received the follow messages:
1) I was pleasantly supprised to have my Mustek 600 CP scanner work with
the drivers it came with. All I did was insert the CDROM that came with
it, and installed everything it prompted to install, and voila, it works.
2) Regarding the Mustek Scanner I can say that the old drivers do work
but if you use the Nero Burning Software and launch it, your system
crashes nicely :-)) (BSOD). I will have to try if the prob is gone with
the newest Nero v4.0.9.1.

Beta drivers are available at Taiwan headquarter's
web site (www.mustek.com.tw) Other drivers will be added in 6-8 weeks. There is
no technical support available for beta drivers, but they do get you up and
running.

NO Win2k driver forthcoming from Mustek, Nt4.0
drivers do not work when used with SIIG Fast SCSI Pro adapter. Gives error
that scanner is not connected, then a "handler error"

Worked perfect just grabbed
the win 95/98/nt drivers from there page and that was it. Bonus over
Windows 98 is that while scanning your system doesnt lock while scanning.

The installation program from Mustek does not correctly register the drivers dependencies. This leads to an error message ("Scanner not ready").
To correct this:
1. Install the Mustek 2.0 driver for NT 4
2. Open Regedt32
3. Goto HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetServicesAB306P
4. Look at the parameters DependOnGroup and DependOnService. DependOnGroup should be empty and DependOnService should contain "Parport" and nothing else.
5. After changing these values reboot
6. Now the device driver is started and your scanner works...

I got it worked fine! Download W2000 drivers for mustek scanner 1200 CU, (probably all Mustek scanner will function with this workaround) Open regedit and edit key HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionProductName from Windows XP to Windows 2000. Install drivers, and before a restart edit key again to Windows XP. It worked for me! Not all photo editting software works with Xp so remember this!

The current driver from Mustek works, but Mustek 'munges' a registry key. The key "KEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesA4SII300" must be changed so that the value of "DependOnGroup" must read "Parallel arbitrator".

The Creative labs Live! card with optical I/O card
will work with the newest release of drivers from Creative labs under Windows
2000. Digital output to speakers also functions. Creative labs has stated
further compatibility in a future Windows 2000 driver release.

Scanner originally shipped with a SCSI card
(AZ-SCSI) that was never NT compatible, which mine used, however some came with
cards that worked under NT. Tested it with a Domex
3191x(PCI) and 3181x(ISA) SCSI card borrowed from
other systems using Mustek scanners. With Mustek's NT4 scanner drivers and N4
drivers for the cards from Domex's site it worked fine, slow, but fine. Win2k
reports it as a MSF-6000CZ however, cosmetic issue.
