I have a new computer with XP, when I try to install my scanner it shows it is recognized but driver won't open. I was using 98.

All Hardware works, the software included (Easy CD Creator 4.02e) works fine but is a little buggy while copying CD to CD.

installed all appropriate drivers for the scanner, no probs.

Acer 320U USB Scanner (5)

The acer 320U scanner works
with the newly released drivers. I have scanned with it in Win2000
and it is functional. Have not messed with it enough though to
know if it has any bugs.

You Must uninstall any old
beta drivers. This is done by removing C:WindowsinfOEM0.inf (if
exists) and C:WindowsinfOEM0.pnf (if exists) You also need to remove
the scanner from the device manager. Then install Mirascan 3.40 and
reboot the computer. It will PNP the scanner. Works under Photoshop 5.5

It's not listed on the MS HCL,
but Win2000 detects it on install and recognizes it as "ATAPI
CD-R/RW CRW6202A". Works fine w/o tweaking. Will need ASPI32 update
to use existing burning software, just like any other burner in Win2000.

that Drivers were not Digitally Signed by Microsoft and were 3rd Party
Drivers. Connection Listed Correctly and Downloading is Quick. Works
with 2000 Fax Program for Send and Receive Well. I am Currently Testing
it with the Advanced Features in Phone Dialer.
