Download and install VDMSound from http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vdmsound/ to get the sound working. If you have trouble with the mouse only working at the upper left corner then in war2.ini change vidmouse=0 to vidmouse=1 and it'll work.

A problem with Win2K's Tcp/ip
drivers causes Battle Net to lose packets making it difficult to join
games. I have not had problems playing games after joining. Fixing
requires deleting your BNECACHE.DAT and the "HKEY_LM/SOFT/Battle.net"
key. A patch from MS is expected with no release date.

WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos (1)

Received the follow messages: 1) Occasional crashes or blue screens. Otherwise, runs great, even with SMP and no CPU affinity changes.
2) It works perfect on my version of windows 2000 and my voodoo 3 3000. No crashes no blue screens. NO LAG its so bug free. Its actually the best programmed game for 2000 I have actually played. Most of my other games crash when pressing ALT-TAB this one does not.
