Urgh! Ok, So when I put the CD in it says that I do not have DirectX9.0c, and that I need to download it from the website (it gave me the URL). So I went to www.microsoft.com/windows/directX and I downloaded it (which took an HOUR on my dial-up connection). Then I tried to install it and a message comes up that says "There is a cabinet that cannot be trusted" I click ok and the install window says Installation Failed. This has happened twice now and I dont know how to get DirectX 9.0c! I have like 8.something right now.

Can anyone help?

Either one of your cab files from the DirectX is kaputt or you need to try drop your security on "active X" controls and/or internet security policy, look at where it is and remember so that you can put it back after the DirectX install, drop it to "low" and try again, if it works you can set it back to normal. Let us know if it worked.

I dowloaded DirectX 9.0c and when i run DXDIAG it states that it was successfully installed under the systems Tab, but that's not the problem. The computer states that my display driver doesn't support it and that i need to update from hardware manufacturer.
How do i do this and what does it mean.
