Beyond that, the actual thermal compound itself is a reasonably thin and easy to spread paste, which makes application a piece of cake. Another bonus of this particular compound is that OCZ claims that it requires no 'burn-in' time to reach its optimum efficiency - While many thermal interface materials require around 48 hours of use to reach their most effective level of cooling, OCZ's Freeze should immediately start to show the full cooling benefits it has to offer." >> OCZ Freeze thermal compound Review Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP Review BIOS Magazine posted a review on the Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP "Whether you're a corporate chieftain or a gaming guru, the UltraSharp 2408WFP will impress. It has excellent colour reproduction and has almost every modern video input you can think of, including the all-important HDMI. The overall is extremely solid and the adjustable base is really accommodating. Images are crisp and clean, and the level of white achieved is stunning. The only downsides are that black levels aren't as good as those on a CRT monitor or plasma, and reds are perhaps a little too saturated by default. Hardcore gamers should also remember that the 6ms response time can be bettered if you're worried about lag time, though to be fair we didn't really encounter any issues." >> Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP Review BFG Tech GeForce 9800 GTX OCX 512MB graphics card Review Bit-Tech has published a review of BFG Tech's GeForce 9800 GTX OCX 512MB graphics card "To be fair, I'm still in two minds about the GeForce 9800 GTX. And even though BFG Tech has gone above and beyond the call of duty here, I still don't think it's enough for me to change my mind about this particular card in Nvidia's line-up. >> BFG Tech GeForce 9800 GTX OCX 512MB graphics card Review Razer Piranha Gaming Communicator & Destructor Gaming Mat Review DriverHeaven posted a review on the Razer Piranha Gaming Communicator & Destructor Gaming Mat "Here at Driver Heaven we use quite a lot of Razer hardware both on our work PC's and test systems. The hardware ranges from mice to headphones and the majority of the components are very good, the DeathAdder mouse has yet to be beaten as far as we are concerned. There are however some Razer products which have not been as good, the Tarantula keyboard for example just does not feel right so when receiving new review samples from Razer we always wonder which area of quality the items will fall into. Today we have two new products from them to review, the Piranha Gaming Communicator and Destructor Gaming Mat." >> Razer Piranha Gaming Communicator & Destructor Gaming Mat Review Xigmatek HDT-S1283 and Red Scorpion CPU Coolers Review Madshrimps posted Xigmatek HDT-S1283 and Red Scorpion CPU Coolers Review "Two HeatpipeDirectTouch CPU Coolers from Xigmatek duke it our in this review. We compare the performance of these enthusiast heatsinks to the >> Xigmatek HDT-S1283 and Red Scorpion CPU Coolers Review Sunbeam SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter Review techPowerUp posted a review on the Sunbeam SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter "Sunbeam has come out with a nice tool that solves the mystery of how to handle multiple formats of hard drives. The SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter can use 2.5" and 3.5" SATA and IDE drives and easily converts them to a USB 2.0 interface. Its compact size, flexibility and low price make it a nice addition to a tool bag or work bench." >> Sunbeam SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter Review Samsung ML-1630 Review Overclockers Online posted a review on the Samsung ML-1630 "The ML-1630 monochrome laser printer is another solid offering by Samsung. It was also never set out to be an all-in-one office work horse. Instead, the ML-1630 printer might be found in a much more domestic environment, such as the home." >> Samsung ML-1630 Review Transcend microSDHC class 6 Flash Card Review DragonSteelMods has posted a review on the Transcend microSDHC class 6 Flash card "Today for review I've got the Transcend microSDHC Class 6 Flash Card, it's your standard type microSD card and includes the adapter for standard SD cards as well. I't put it up against tow other brands of microSD cards I've got on hand, let's see how well it performs... " >> Transcend microSDHC class 6 Flash Card Review Corsair Survivor 32GB Flash Drive Review TechwareLabs has published a review of the Corsair Survivor 32GB Flash Drive. "Every now and then, a titan is born from the flash drive industry. With its rugged good looks, 200m water resistance, anti-shock collar, and disgustingly awesomely large storage, Jason Dumbaugh tests out the new Corsair 32GB Survivor flash drive. Check it out to see how it performs! " >> Corsair Survivor 32GB Flash Drive Review ASUS Radeon HD 3850 X2 1GB Review - Mainstream Dual-GPU Option PCPer posted a review on the ASUS Radeon HD 3850 X2 1GB video card "ASUS is the first to produce a dual-GPU card based on the HD 3850 from AMD that finally gives AMD an option in the $300-350 price range. Can it live up to the competition of the 9800 GTX and how does it compare to the HD 3870 X2?" >> ASUS Radeon HD 3850 X2 1GB Review - Mainstream Dual-GPU Option Nexus HOC-9000 Real Silent CPU Cooler Review DreamWare Computers posted a review on the Nexus HOC-9000 Real Silent CPU Cooler "In addition to the XiR-3500 we recently reviewed, the HOC-9000 is the second of the two newest coolers just off the line from Nexus. In addition to it's eye catching looks, which can be enhanced by means of the included sticker panels, this cooler also has some innovative new ideas behind it's design which I will explain as this review progresses!" >> Nexus HOC-9000 Real Silent CPU Cooler Review Noiseblocker NB-X-Swing HDD Noise Reducer Review Tech-Reviews.co.uk posted a review on the Noiseblocker NB-X-Swing HDD Noise Reducer "Computer Silencing has gotten quite serious in recent years. Low dBA Fans, Heat Pipe CPU Coolers and Sound Proofing are the main products a Silent PC would contain. However, there is one area that should probably be tackled first, this is, Hard Drive Silencing. The churning of Hard Disks is quite possibly the most annoying sound for most enthusiasts; this is why Noiseblocker have created the 'NB-X-Swing' - a Dual Hard Disk Drive Noise Reducer." >> Noiseblocker NB-X-Swing HDD Noise Reducer Review Seagate's Barracuda ES.2 1TB SAS Hard Drive Review HotHardware.com posted a review on Seagate's Barracuda ES.2 1TB SAS Hard Drive "Today, we'll be showcasing one of the most significant developments to date, toward getting SAS (Serial-Attached SCSI) more frequently into the vernaculars of workstation/server buyers and maybe even a few enthusiasts - relatively cheap, high-capacity SAS storage thanks to Seagate. Seagate currently offers 10,000 and 15,000 RPM disks with SAS interfaces at a fraction of the capacity versus SATA offerings and as such, much higher prices. >> Seagate's Barracuda ES.2 1TB SAS Hard Drive Review Agfaphoto AP2300 Photo Printer Review Bios Magazine posted a review on the Agfaphoto AP2300 Photo Printer "If you're in the market for a compact, portable, relatively fast, and decent quality 6x4-inch (10x15cm) printer then you may have come across the AP2300 (399.99) from AGFA - the printer is actually made by Sagem, but branded Agfa. The AP2300 is capable of outputting a full colour postcard-size print in just under 60 seconds, and features a barrel-load of tech including the usual image enhancers, flash memory card readers and a 2.4-inch LCD screen. Weighing in at just 1.5kg and taking up less space than a particularly small dog, you can even get a matching travel bag." >> Agfaphoto AP2300 Photo Printer Review Western Digital 1 TB Caviar GP Serial ATA Hard Drive Review Tech ARP has posted a review on the Western Digital 1 TB Caviar GP Serial ATA Hard Drive "Western Digital's line of Caviar GP is the only drive in Western Digital to offer an astounding 1 terabyte capacity in a single drive! The combination of extremely large storage capacity and low power consumption was irresistible so we just had to give it a try. >> Western Digital 1 TB Caviar GP Serial ATA Hard Drive Review Antec TruePower Quattro 850 W Power Supply Review Hardware Secrets posted Antec TruePower Quattro 850 W Power Supply Review "TruePower Quattro 850 W is a power supply from Antec featuring modular cabling system, four auxiliary PCI Express power cables for video cards, active PFC, efficiency above 80% and the very traditional ATX looks, with a small 80-mm fan on the rear side. The manufacturer promises that this unit can deliver its labeled power at 50º C. Sounds promising, but can this unit really deliver 850 W? Let's see." >> Antec TruePower Quattro 850 W Power Supply Review Honeywell Airlite 700 Wireless Bluetooth Headset Review Hardware Secrets posted Honeywell Airlite 700 Wireless Bluetooth Headset Review "SOYO is a brand name best known as a manufacturer of designer motherboards, but they also have an impressive line of consumer electronics and computer peripherals. Their Honeywell Consumer Electronic line is considered the best of their lineup. So when SOYO announced their new Honeywell Airlite 700 Wireless Bluetooth Headset, shown in Figure 1, at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2008, it peaked a lot of interest. The headset featuring Bluetooth 2.0 and Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) technology, was touted as a "smaller, lighter, and more comfortable headset with crystal clear sound". We tested to see if it delivered on these promises." >> Honeywell Airlite 700 Wireless Bluetooth Headset Review In-Win Metal Suit GD Mid-Tower Case Review OCIA.net takes a look at the In-Win Metal Suit GD Mid-Tower Case in their latest review. "Unless you're into Japanese anime, you very well might have never heard of Gundam. It didn't gain much popularity in the west until it was introduced on Cartoon Network's Toonami in 2000. But it seems that In-Win is banking on their case buyers being familiar with Gundam Wing and appreciating the similarities enough to be interested in their new case design, the Metal Suit GD." >> In-Win Metal Suit GD Mid-Tower Case Review Lite-On DX-401S Blu-ray USB2.0 ROM Drive Review TweakTown posted a review on the Lite-On DX-401S Blu-ray USB2.0 ROM Drive "Today we get a look at our second Blu-ray ROM drive to hit our labs, and this time it is from Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions Corp based out of Taiwan. It actually came to us straight off the factory production line and we are excited to bring you the first review of the product. The first drive we tested was an internal SATA Blu-ray burner as we mentioned just before from ASUS, and while it was cheaper than standalone players, it still had a pretty high asking price. >> Lite-On DX-401S Blu-ray USB2.0 ROM Drive Review LaCie Mini Hub 500GB USB 2.0 FireWire External Hard Drive Review ThinkComputer posted a review on the LaCie Mini Hub 500GB USB 2.0 FireWire External Hard Drive "Looking for a new external hard drive? They have been on the market for seven years now and Benchmark Reviews has been pleased to have the opportunity to review several of their items. This time we will be taking a look at the Lian Li PC-A09B Classical Series Mid-Tower Case to see if it stacks up to the others." >> Lian Li PC-A09B Classical Series Mid-Tower Case Review VisionTek HD3870X2 OC Review Neoseeker posted a review on the VisionTek HD3870X2 OC video card "When it comes to performance, overall the VisionTek HD3870X2 OC did well, but not amazing. This video card is selling for around $450 right now -- about $30 more than VisionTek's standard, reference design card. While this card will definitely keep your games all flying at a fast clip, this card does face some healthy competition..." >> VisionTek HD3870X2 OC Review Thermaltake DuOrb CPU Cooler Review OCC has published a new review on the Thermaltake DuOrb CPU Cooler "The temperatures are impressive, especially going up against the OCZ Vendetta, which performed very well in other reviews. With an ambient temperature of 25C, the DuOrb was the lowest, matching the air temperature exactly in the Idle Stock test. Even overclocked, the DuOrb kept things cooler, except for the Overclocked load test where the OCZ Vendetta 2 and the DuOrb tied. Not only did it keep the CPU cooler, but the Thermaltake DuOrb kept the surrounding area between 2C to 5C cooler than the Vendetta 2." >> Thermaltake DuOrb CPU Cooler Review DFI LanPartyDK X38-T2R Motherboard Review Ninjalane has posted their review of the DFI LanPartyDK X38-T2R motherboard "This is an X38 enabled motherboard that features many of the things found on the high dollar boards." >> DFI LanPartyDK X38-T2R Motherboard Review Vantec NexStar eSata/USB Hard Drive Dock Review Futurelooks checked out the Vantec NexStar eSata/USB Hard Drive Dock "Back in April, I reviewed Thermaltake’s BlacX USB Hard Drive dock and heralded it as a step in the right direction, away from those boring hard drive enclosures out there. Although it was a cool concept, it lacked in the performance department due in part to the omission of something faster than your standard USB port. Vantec has come along with a new product called the NexStar eSata/USB Hard Drive Dock which sports not only lowly USB, but kicks up the performance with an eSATA port." >> Vantec NexStar eSata/USB Hard Drive Dock Review Alienware Area-51 ALX System Review HardwareLogic.com posted Alienware Area-51 ALX System Review "As a founding father in what's still considered a niche market, Alienware offers a range of custom notebooks and PCs, culminating with the Area-51. Built with gaming in mind, Alienware recently overhauled their flagship lineup to keep up with this ever evolving segment and sent us their Area-51 ALX, a water-cooled powerhouse sporting a quad-core processor and dual-GPUs. But it takes more than a spec sheet to impress us, and at $7K, we're expecting an out-of-this-world ride. Did Alienware oblige?" >> Alienware Area-51 ALX System Review |
