SpeedStream 3060 ASDL modem (5)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Windows 2000 and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2000-03-01 12:00:00 by Anonymous running Windows 2000:
1) Place 3060 in PC, boot
Windows 2000
NOTE: Win2000 will recognize the 3060 as a 3010 device, and incorrectly
install 3010 drivers against it. This is OK, as the install application
will correct this.
2) When the OS is up, run the self extracting EN60PW2K.EXE.
Conversely, if you have previously expanded these files, you can simply
run the SETUP.EXE that is contained within the self-extracting zip.
3) At the 3060 Install Dialog, Click 'Install'.
4) The OS will remove any 3060 devices (even if 3010 driver are
installed on them) and then restart Plug and Play and install the 3060.
5) At the screen "Digital Signature Not Found" click OK.
6) When install is complete, click "OK" on the install dialog.
The 3060 will now be up and running, no reboot required. To see if card
is trained, look at the LED on the back of the 3060.

CONFIGURATION
=============================
1) Use Start->Settings->Control Panel
2) Double click the "System" Icon
3) Click the Hardware tab and then click "Device Manager"
4) On Device Manager under "Network adapters", right click the
3060 device and click properties
5) Here you can change the Default VCI, Encapsulation, (and VPI, if card
supports VPI other than 0)
6) Click 'OK". The 3060 drop train and then come back up with the
new
values, no reboot required.

CONNECTING:
=============================
1) Right click on "My Network Places" on the desktop and
choose properties
2) Double Click the "3060 DSL Miniport" Icon
3) Enter User name and password, then OK
NOTE: The Dial string is optional. If no dial string is present the
defaults set in Device manager will be used. This can be real handy if
you want to create multiple icons with different VCIs or Encapsulations.

The Dial string format is:
Phone Company VPI/VCI Encapsulation Dialer String
Bell South 8/35 PPPoE ENI 1023FFFFFFFF000F
Bell South 8/35 LLC ENI 1023FFFFFFFF0007
Bell South 8/35 VCMUX(PPPoA) ENI 1023FFFFFFFF000C
Bell Atlantic 0/35 PPPoE ENI 1023FFFFFFFF000F
Pacbell 0/35 PPPoA ENI 1023FFFFFFFF000C
Ameritech 0/105 PPPoA ENI 1069FFFFFFFF000C

4) To create more icons, use Start->Programs->Efficient
Networks->Create 3060 DSL Connection Icon

UNINSTALLING:
=============================
1) Goto Start->Programs->Efficient Networks->Uninstall 3060 DSL
Modem
2) At the uninstall dialog, click 'Remove'
