Device manager
says I need a firmware upgrade for the Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB
device. Gigabyte don't seem to have the patch available at this time.
2) Try the following to get the USB work: 1. Set MPS-Level to 1.1 in
BIOS, 2. Boot W2K, 3. Go to devicemanager, section "Computer",
change the driver "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" into "MPS
Multiprocessor-PC" and reboot. 4.now everything should run fine, I
had the same problem with my GA-6BXD

Shutdown via software works just fine, but when
installing ist's recognised as ACPI compliant pc which it isn't really.
I noticed quite high cpu temperatures after installation of 2k. When
done installing i started Seti@home just to see the dam thing lockup
after about 10 minutes!! Tried again, the same.. Took me 1 hour to find,
that win2k stopps the cpufan during bootup!!!!! So i cut the line and
rewired it to 12v constantly without hardware monitoring, works just
fine now, but fan monitoring is gone!!
