It is usable but the software that comes with it is only 98/me compatible so you can't program the buttons - the digital pad is worthless in games that don't let you customize the controls (i.e. the high heat series) and ofcource don't expect any rumble effects without the software. Without those features it pretty much becomes a $20 controller. Oddly enough Gravis boasts it to be compatible with 2000 but doesn't tell you these features don't work until you open to the first page of the manual

Ver 1.0 driver works perfectly with NHL 2001 and Metal Gear Solid. However, I will get a bsod in ntgrip.sys or a system freeze whenever i try to start Unreal Tournament. Remove the controller from Game Controllers in Control Panel first, then UT will start/run fine.

Works fine, all controls seems to work. Digital d-pad actually seems to control buts of other axes, not sure if this is right.

with Gravis Win2k beta drivers. It works sometimes.
On some games it's great, others it crashes the system and you get a BSOD.

GrIP MultiPort (1)

According to Gravis, there
are, nor ever will be W2K drivers for the GrIP that allow it to use all
switches on all controllers as support on all OS platforms was dropped
for it in favor of USB. Only ONE controller can be used as a 4-button
gamepad, and even then it must be the ONLY controller plugged into the
controller hub.

I've tried loading a few generic joystick & gamepad drivers, none
have worked for me so far. Gravis has beta drivers that refuse to
install, saying the drivers require Win98...

Only detects in 4 button
analog mode, no GRiP support at all for the extra buttons. Gravis'
stance is that they do not support beta operating systems (at least for
their gamepads) and they will probably release a driver 2-3 weeks after
RTM.

It is detected fine under
Windows 2000 Pro RC1 and RC2. It calibrates fine and all buttons are
detected. Some games like it and some don't, just depends on the game.
