Alright so I decided to install FF8 on my new PC. It worked, everything is playing perfectly, the Cinematics are great, my problem is that when I actually Get into the game, well it screws up, I mean, I can still play, but the graphics are horrible, see for yourself. At the link below

Those black boxes and stuff are not supposed to be there, atleast I hope not. So then what might be causing this Graphic, or video problem and How can I fix it? help please.

hi, i have the solution, in fact i had the same problem but today i found a patch that fixes your texel problems. this is the page.
http://www.actiontrip.com/files/patches/finalfantasy8.phtml
Download the correct patch. (there are 2, for Nvidia users and for not nvidia users)

Change game graphics settings using it's setup program.

Goto your FF8 installation folder, execute FF8Config.exe.
Select Graphics tab. Set Renderer to Software Renderer.
OK.

Yes! Thanks a bunch, that fixed the problem right up, no need to download any patches. Thank you again.

i have the same problem and i also have windows XP and i also have the same problem with FF8 Help needed plz?
