Packaging and help docs all describe this product as compatible with NT 4. What has emerged after numerous failures of the basic software installation, and several email exchanges with HP tech support, is that only NT Workstation is supported. Not the full server version of NT. There is some possibility of using Adaptec software (included with the unit) on NT Server, but HP tech support seems to consider that experimental.

Works fine using built-in Windows 2000 drivers. MS driver does not support "duplex" option, but does have the utilities for cleaning & alignment of cartridges.
