This modem has compatibility problem with "Unimodem half-duplex audio device" driver of XP, disable this item in XP device manager and this modem should works properly.

All I had to do to make the XP drivers work was to put them in the root of my floppy with no sub-directories and they worked great. I have to try the install with a USB flash drive. This is with the final version of Vista--the 6.0.6000 build. I am a technet subscriber.

For some strange reason, this modem need to be recognised by the mobo. in using IRQ3, config your BIOS to allocate the PCI slot of this modem to occupy IRQ3 manually; otherwise you have many troubles.

Intel Duluxe PC Camera (CS330) installs as Intel USB Video Camera III under Windows XP RC1 build 2505, but the system freezes within a few seconds of using the camera. The power button on PC still functions to ACPI, which is set to shut down the computer, so it has not actually hard locked the computer. This is strange as I believe the Intel USB Video Camera III is the Deluxe PC Camera (CS330) and is on the XP HCL, yet no luck :(

Have noted various comments in newsgroups and experienced it myself that the motherboard will not always install Windows 2003 (hangs when it gets to the graphical part of the install). If the installation is successful then server reboots continuously when it reaches the graphical part of the startup. This appears to affect older revisions of the motherboard, as the latest revision has been certified as W2003 server compatible by Intel. A newer replacement revision of the motherboard (but not the latest revision) worked fine until the second processor was installed. I have also seen other messages about users having this similar problem.

Intel has produced a driver for QX3+ Computer Microscope. You have to go to www.intelplay.com and find the driver to download. Intel is sending a free upgrade CD to customers that have XP and 2000 through the beginning of August.

Received the follow messages:
1) No drivers available under Win2000. Received a response from Intel quoting that Win2000 is a business-level OS and that the SVR3 is targetted towards the consumer-based market. Unknown if Intel will support this card under Win2000 despite of drivers working in NT4.
2) Intel doesn't provide w2k drivers for this card, and the installer for their NT drivers refuses to work in w2k. I have experimented a lot with other drivers and found that the Connexant reference WDM capture drivers for generic BT8x8 based cards work fine with this card in w2k. Unfortunately they're hard to find, but a web search will turn them. I forgot where I downloaded them from, the file name is Bt8X8WDMFS.zip

Intel has discontinued the Intel Play products since the end of March 2001. They have not made a driver to make it compatible with 2000 or XP.

works ok, but i'm getting a lot of paging errors on IDE bus 2, and when writing a CD it fails very often. probably it's a fault in my hardware
