You can use a router or a hub to share the connections

All you need to do is run Cat-5 cables from your hub to each computers ethernet cards. You may need to unplug your modem for 30 seconds to reset everything, so that the modem gives out ips to each computer.

There should be no need to make changes to the registry files or to your OS.

Ok first thing we need to know is, do all your machines that you want to use to access the internet have ethernet cards.

If they do then you need to buy some catagory 5 cables to connect your computers to the hub.

What you need to do is, plug one end of the cat-5 cable into the ethernet card in your computer.

Then plug the other end of the cat-5 cable into an open port in your hub.

Do that for all your computers.

Then unplug your modem for 30 seconds and plug it back in to make sure that your modem sends out an ip address for each computer.

You will not need to make any changes to the registry files or to your operating system.

The path of least resistance in connecting all computers on a hub to the internet is through a router. You would connect your cable/DSL modem to the router. The router is then connected to the hub. The router will assign all IP addresses internally.
