Game runs fine, however, the installer does not start up. The only workaround I know of is to install the game from XP and copy it over to Vista. Vista labels the installer as a "16-bit Setup Launcher" and I assume this to be the cause, though I thought 16-bit apps still worked in the x86 Vista.

Download the
Descent 2 Win 95 update. The require file is called
"D2_WPTSCH.ZIP" and can found at http://www.interplay.com.
Start a Windows Command prompt. Then insert the Descent 2 CD and
type "x:Install"(x: CD-Rom drive). After the
installation go to the Descent 2 directory and open "DESCENT.CFG".
Change the setting "MovieHires=" to 1. Unzip
D2_WPTCH.ZIP into a temporary diretory. From the tem directory
run "___OOO___.exe"(Don't run setup).

1) After installing received critical error.
Program aborting. Unable to get past that.
2) Working perfecty! (System: Intel P2 450, Nvidia Geforce)
3) Installs fine, some rare lags in the game, but very playable. Using
Nvidia Reference drivers for my TNT v3.79 & v3.81
4) runs nicely on my Creative Labs TNT2u under 2k, bit jerky in 32bit
colour above 8x600. Running 3.81 drivers on an athlon 750/gigabyte combo.
5) Works perfectly using Windows 2000's basic SBLive! drivers and TNT2
with latest 3.81 reference drivers.
6) Evolva Demo worked perfectly for me on Win2k Pro, TNT2U, nvidia 3.81
drivers.
7) Worked perfectly for me with TNTUltra, latest Nvidia drivers
8) Have played the Evolva Demo twice. Works fine for me. I'm using W2000
with a Geforce256 DDR card, 128MB RAM and Celeron 300 oc'd to 450
9) Installed and ran no problem.
10) Installed and ran great on a Voodoo 3500. No problems and runs great
on my Althon.
11) I had no problems, installed without a hitch and ran fine using a riva
tnt.
