This is for instance when a game checks for a CD and it dont find it. - sometimes it just vanishes (its drive letter) and only way to get it back is to re-boot the computer! - If a CD is inserted into it while the PC boots, the "busy" light never goes off and it is not possible to eject the cd until the PC is turned off completely, and then back on. - It also has a few problems with CD-R discs I have found.
