Lifetec LT9848 (5)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Windows 2000 and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2000-12-01 12:00:00 by Anonymous running Windows 2000:
I've had a Lifetec LT9848 for a while, but I have recently upgraded to Windows 2000, and I had noticed that Medion had no drivers for this scanner for Windows 2000 on their site. I found therefore, with help of the SANE project (Scanner Access Now Easy, a Linux scanning project) that the LT9848 is really only a relabled Mustek 600 III EP. I tried the Mustek drivers, and now my scanner works under Windows 2000, with the exception of it being a bit slower than before. The parallell port mode is set to EPP in the BIOS, so that should not be a problem. I suspect the problem is because Windows 2000 doesn't allow direct access to the parallell port.
http://www.mustek.com/Imaging/drivers/devicedrivers/600iiiepplus.htm
