Under Windows 2000 SP1 with DirectX 8.0 the game does not want to start. It said that Direct3D from DirectX 5.2 is NOT installed.

3) In Multiplayer mode: Beware games base on Quake III engine with dual AMD cpu's. JK2 will single play, but not multiplay without installing uniprocessor driver. As of 4-Apr-2002:

4) Using Voodoo3 AGP under Windows 2000, screen would wash out mostly white after playing Jedi Outcast, but not any other game. Would have to change color depth and then change it back to get regular colors again. Lucas Arts says Voodoo3 under Windows 2000 is not supported, but if you buy the $7.95 WickedGL drivers (test the demo first), it works fine with no more washed out mostly white screen afterwards. Everything else works fine using DirectX 8.1 and Windows 2000 Service Pack 2.

Did not test without the patch applied. You can download them @ the lucasarts.com support page. Everything works perfect (even with the 8Xs AA and 16x AF). If you are having a problem with the mouse cursor, turn the hardware mouse off from the option menu. If the game freezes @ the first loading screen, try ESC (To skip the intro movie) or quit and run the game again.

Received the follow messages:
1) It worked fine with my riva tnt with beta drivers 3.7.5 . The update 2.02 also works although with
me it happened the same that with win98: the alliance.exe doesn't work, so you can't change the pilot! you have to run the xwingalliance.exe to make it start.
2) Works perfectly, even though when I analysed my computer it said my operating system failed.

I was able to make XvT run just fine under Win2K.

1. Creat a short cut to the executable Z_xvt_.exe

2. Go to the properties for this short cut and edit the target field. Add ishost to the end of the target line outside the quotation marks Ex: "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\XwingTie\Z_XVT_.EXE" ishost

Start the game from this short cut and it should run fine. The only thing that does not work is the background music. All voice and sound effects are working.

a 100% DirectX compatible adapter like Creative Graphics Blaster
Riva TNT (with latest drivers and Service Pack 3/Service Pack 4
is not needed to play this demo). Redraw errors with DirectX 3.0
drivers. Grim Fandango lock up on other adapters (I tried Cirrus
Logic, Elsa Gloria L, Matrox Millennium and Matrox Mystique).
