I have the sidewinder software that worked perfectly with windows 98se but it is not compatible with xp.I don't know what to do.

So MS Force Feedback Pro serial ( game port ) is not compatible with Windows XP? I tried installing the Sidewinder Central so I could use the SideWinder. My sound card ( Sound Blaster 24bit ) does not have a serial port though. I swapped my old computer's Aureal Sound Card, thats when I found out that the CD that I tried to install the program with doesn't work with my WindowsXP. It said that The program is limited on resources, but my computer is brand new? Can someone give me some help and feedback?

Installs just fine. Everything works in the control panel test. When playing Starlancer the force feedback doesn't seem to kick in.

Received two messages:
1) Works, but the software doesn't
2) The software that comes with it does not work. Windows 2k will reconize it, but has no drivers for it. Microsoft was contacted, and they said that they refuse to make Windows 2000 drivers for it.
3) Works both under Pro and Advanced Server without any problem when connected to a properly configured USB port (not hub). The drivers are included in W2k and the device is found on plugin. Included software won't install though, this means no equalizer functions. Games work without any problem.
