Originally, we had another webcam...some old one that screwed into the back of the computer. It never worked, but we assumed that the webcam was the problem, so we bought a new one. We installed the appropriate driver for it, but the same problem still show up. Every time we try to setup the webcam for msn messenger or any other program/application, we get a blue screen, then it reboots. When I sign on, an error report pops up, saying that there may be a faulty driver. We have XP home edition, and the camera is a Telemax WC15 USB webcam, but I don't think the driver installed for that cam is the problem, because the error report is the same as it was with the other webcam.

Also, I ended up deleting my audio driver, thinking it was the faulty driver, and now I have no sound either. I have no idea what soundcard I have, or how to find it. I've tried downloading various audio drivers, but none are compatible. The speakers I have are Creative SBS15, and the driver I deleted was a SiS something. PLEASE HELP

I'd prefer if you respond by email, because I don't know my way around this site very well... my email's bumble_b18@hotmail.com

Right click on My Computer, choose Properties from the dropdown menu, click on the Hardware tab, then click on the button Device Manager. When the new window comes up, there will be a list of devices, click on the "+" next to the Sound, video and games controller. Your sound device should be listed. Right click on it, choose Properties, then you can choose the course of action you want to take - find the drivers, have Microsoft provide a driver, uninstall the device once you know what it is and install the drivers you found on the net.
