New Computer Problems PLZ HLP!!!

Well this is my first post and computer built... but the computer doesnt even turn on...

i have a D865PERL mother board
intel 3.4 processor
Demon Silver Chrome 480W power supply
512 ram for now
200G HD
Gforce 5700 video card
aspirg case

all atx stuff, but the problem is, when i go to hit the power button, nothing happens at all, the power supplys on/off switch is lit and i also tested it in my older computer and it works fine... im pretty sure i followed all the wire connections right... I just dont know what to do....thanks for the help..
