Received the follow messages:
1) Game crashes immediately upon exe execution. Tested both before and after win2k updates. Very strange because previous HOMM3 games work fine under win2k. I'll try and test on another box.
2) Had no problems at all. Installed Fine. Ran Gameupdate to bring it to 3.1.
3) Mine installs fine and does not crash after execution. Setup program seems to have problems with W2000, it stops at 99% ... just wait a few minutes.
4) Just a thought. Noticed that Heroes of Might and Magic 3-The Shadow of Death crashes immediately upon exe execution. That sounds very similar to Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001, another game put out by the 3DO company. They seem to have now admitted that this is an issue related to the copy protection. They appear to have wrapped the disc with an older and incompatible version of safedisc. So, the problem is likely the same here. I would assume many or all 3D0 titles released in the last few weeks at least won't work for this same reason. Just thought I'd mention it.
5)turn of the music inside the game. Since my computer have crashed many times since I installed it I guessed it was creative labs sb live drivers that messed up my computer(when HOMMIII-sod trying to send two sound levels(!?) to the card it crashes under win2k and locks the computer).
4) Installed, updated and ran fine.
