Haven't tried installing inside W2K. Occasionally the Paperport icon (FBDirect.exe) will disconnect, just right click on it and choose Connect, it reconnects with no problem. Paperport software (in this case I use v5.3 come with my scanner) works OK, although receiving a message of not expected running in W2K, it still works.
