works perfect. plug in, boot windows, it detects it, installs drivers, reboots again, and works fine. read and write. no special (compression) support, although you can easily format a catridge with NTFS and use filesystem compression on it

Get a cheap UltraSCSI adapter,
the drive will work fine, and much faster than the parallel adapter ever
did...

Printer port pass through is
not supported. You must edit the syquest.inf and get rid of any
reference to the sharshtl.sys file. The 1.41 MiniPortDriver from Shuttle
Technology (Ephdwnt.mpd) must be used. The Sparc comes with ver 1.30 of
this driver. To get it to work, you have to set the following Port
Settings in the Device Manager for your parallel port. 1. Filter
Resource Method: "Use any interrupt assigned to the port" 2.
