I have purchase a Blitzz Super G router with firewall. On my old PC I had a 801.11g wireless card and started having problems. My solution was to buy a new PC and new Blitzz Super G wireless card. Following the instructions I installed the software first and placed the card as far as possible from the AGP port. I still am having the same problem as soon as I start using software that requires me to use the wireless connection my system freezes. When I turn off the PC and remove the wireless card and restart I have no issues. Does anybody know the cause of this problem? If so what are the fixes?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Try turning off the Wireless Zero Configuration utility. Then see if it still locks up.

Or you can uninstall all the software except drivers that came with the wireless card and use the Wireless Zero Config service.

It's a locally running service

Click on the Start button, then select Run then type into the line, services.msc and click OK or press the Enter key.

Now scroll down to locate this service.

jimmijo,

I did as you suggested and all that happened is my network service turned off. Which was nice since the system stopped locking up but than I could not access the internet. This is what I have done and any help would be greatly appreciated:

Locking up with Blitzz Super G wireless card, BWI715. I have uninstalled the driver and removed the card, restarted my PC and gone through the install process again. I have moved the card into different PCI slot so that it is not sharing resources, yet after 10 to 15 minutes my PC freezes. What is the cause? What is the fix?

Hmmm, what about uninstalling all Blitzz software and drivers. Reboot. When the computer is looking for the wireless drivers, just install the drivers. Not any of the software.

Also, have you checked out your Event log? As in Right click on Mycomputer, Left click on Manage, click on the + next to Event viewer (which is under Computer Management (local), and under System Tools). Are there any suspicious red x's near anything to do with Blitzz or Zero Wireless Configuration? Check under Application and System.

Oh, and if the computer freezes before you can do this, go into safe mode. As in reboot the computer, press F8 (might have to do it repeatedly) right after post, but before windows starts.
