The Sims et al and Win2kPro

I've been dealing with Maxis about getting The Sims (and expansions) to run correctly on my Win2kPro system. They say that Win2kPro is not one of the supported platforms. Is there a fix for this out there anywhere? TIA MoonPuppy.
