Microsoft released an update for Windows Server 2008 to resolve an issue where in a failover file server, the Shadow Copy creation task does not work after the resource has failed over to another node.

"Install this update to resolve an issue where in a failover file server, the Shadow Copy creation task does not work after the resource has failed over to another node. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. This update is provided to you and licensed under the Windows Server 2008 License Terms."
