Zone Alarm 2.1.25 (5)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Windows 2000 and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2000-08-01 12:00:00 by Anonymous running Windows 2000:
2.1.25, with new patch, set on "high" now does work with 2000SP1. However grc.com now shows POP3(e-mail) port "open". (worst possible) Shows "stealth" (best) w/o patch or SP1. May be due to Antivirus e-mail scanner, not patch, however. (I use PC-Cillin 2000.) Even if it's no longer 2000 or Zone Labs' direct problem, anyone running TM is not as secure using SP1 as w/o SP1.

Zone Alarm V2.0.22 (5)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: Windows 2000 and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2000-02-01 12:00:00 by Anonymous running Windows 2000:
Received also the follow
message:
1) I dispute the fact that zone alarm is working 100% under win2k. Once
installed it wouldn't let my win2k box shut down or restart. And
if I tried to stop the vsmon process the taskmanager would lock up.
So I tried uninstalling it, and it locked up the uninstall program. I
had to boot with a disk, rename vsmon.exe to something else, then
uninstall the damn thing.
2) Another
word on the ZoneAlarm program: On my machine this software works fine
except for the annoying fact that it prevents the computer from entering
the Suspend-to-ram stand-by feature. Whenever the program is running, an
attempt to enter stand-by will cause a BSOD 'power_driver_state_failure'.
Maybe this problem is in conjuncture with another driver but I haven't
been able to track down the source and everything works fine when
ZoneAlarm is not running
3) Web
site says no SMP. but it will work if you: 1. Connect to web, 2. go to
task manager set affinity for zonealarm to cpu0 and 3. close zonealarm
and reopen
