WinPatrol runs great with Windows Vista and takes advantage of its new enhanced security features. If you use Vista's UAC(User Access Control), you may find some startup programs require your permission before they can begin. Moving these programs to our Delayed Start list can prevent simultaneous annoying systems pop ups everytime you restart your computer.

WinPatrol uses a heuristic approach to detecting attacks and violations of your computing environment. Traditional security programs scan your hard drive searching for previously identified threats. WinPatrol takes snapshot of your critical system resources and alerts you to any changes that may occur without your knowledge. You'll be removing dangerous new programs while others download new definition files.
