Well, it kind of works. Under my Win2k SP2 install it will run, but the video and colours in the game are all screwed up.

Need to reduce desktop colour depth to 16 bit for graphics to display properly.

Installs without problems. The color depth needs to be reduced to 8-bit (256 colors) when running the game, otherwise the colors look garbled.

It works just fine if you do the following:
- create a folder for it on your hard disk, ie. c:\brokensword
- copy the whole first CD to the directory you just created
- copy the whole second CD except the "speech" folder to the target directory, answering "Yes" to the "overwrite files?" questions that might pop up.
- create another folder *inside* your target directory and name it "speech_cd2" or something else, then copy the file speech.clu from the CD 2 "speech" folder there.
- edit the sword.inf file in your target directory - replace "r:\sword\jamesl\cd1\" and "r:\sword\jamesl\cd2\" with the directory you copied the files to, *except* in the line "r:\sword\jamesl\cd2\speech\" - edit this line to point at your "speech_cd2" directory.
- now, start winsword.exe and you should be fine.
