MultiRes (49kb) is a small, free, 32-bit alternative to QuickRes, with refresh rate and multi-monitor support for up to nine display devices under Windows 98/2000. The utility is backwardly compatible with the original retail release of Windows 95 as well as NT 4.0, and features optional timed confirmation prompts that can be enabled or disabled for each device. The latest build adds support for command-line parameters, allowing you to set up shortcuts that switch each and every device in a multimonitor array to a specific resolution, color depth, and refresh rate, e.g., "multires.exe /1:1024,768,16,85 /2:800,600,32,75 /x" will switch the first device to 1024x768x16bpp@85Hz, switch the second device to 800x600x32bpp@75Hz, and then exit.
