So I tried the solution suggested of the Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit but I couldn't find a simply way to setup the windows 95 compatibility. Instead I tried a look up for windows 95 compatibility in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and found out that the Windows 2000 SP2 and up already provides several compatibility modes but are hidden for default. They need to be unhidden first (try regsvr32 %your system directory%\apppatch\slayerui.dll). Once you enable the compatibility support create a shorcut to the game exe (claireu.exe i.e.) and use the compatibility tab to set Windows95 Support. It doesn't work if you use the shortcut to the application launcher. |
