Submitted by Anonymous on 2008-05-26 12:25:12 This product has a rating of 5 out of 5 running under Windows XP Comments: Talkie (cd voice) version from the anthology disc (the one with the dragonfire demo). 1) Install the game using DosBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/). This will prevent a bug in the installer causing it to think you don't have enough disk space. 2) Perform a full install. This is necessary to apply bug fixes in the next step. 3) Extract the files from qfg4cd.zip to your game directory (c:\sierra\qganth\qg4cd\ by default). This will not overwrite any existing files. qg4cd.zip can be found at the following sites: http://geocities.com/belzorash/ http://members.fortunecity.com/gabriel001/patches.html 4) Run the game from DosBox. Although you may get it running directly, DosBox will prevent many timing bugs and generally, sound works better. If you find there is no narrator and the text disappears before you can read it, you probably didn't mount the CD using the same drive letter as you installed it with. |
