Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire

To prevent a crash on playing the intro, I went to Control Panel -> Quicktime -> Advanced and set Video to 'Safe mode (GDI only)' (I used a clean quicktime alternative from http://codecguide.com/about_qt.htm). 2. To prevent a crash on the character creation screen, I renamed C:\SIERRA\QFG5\Data\Qgm\ to C:\SIERRA\QFG5\Data\Qgm_renamed\ My source of info is http://tawmis.com/collector/Games/QuestForGlory/QfG5&XP.html which also has a mirror of the update and fix. Don't set compatibility mode as it suggests though (unless absolutely necessary), because for me it stopped the movies playing. |
