The adapter is perfectly detected at setup. Great
speed under all conditions. I did not try the Adaptec 1.00 drivers though.

this may be a
problem with the FIC PA-2013 PCI Bridge problem and the VAI chipset, but
the Yamaha XG sound card works fine. The Trident just gets a 'device not
working, reinstall drivers' type of message.

Beta Windows 2000 drivers on CD included with
camera do not work under released retail version of Windows 2000 Professional.
Download 2-11-2000 released v3005 drivers from Xirlink Web site and install
before connecting camera for minimum hassle getting camera to work.

Though in the documentation it says to set an Award BIOS to "Plug and Play OS = YES", on mine I had to set it to NO to let the driver load.

Received the follow messages:
1) The NT 4.0 drivers will work only with the parallel version. To get
the USB version working, install the printer as a DeskJet 970Cse. This
allows USB printing but limits you to 600dpi
2) HP now announce that a driver with full capability will NOT now be
available until September... presumably they mean this year! Previously
they had announced that a driver would be available in the spring.

no problem! first install drivers for this controller, reboot, check if device is listed in device manager. power down switch harddisk to the controller --> power on. please read the manual from promise controller!

No support from Canon after lots of e-mails I don't think they worry about their customers owing this "professional" machine. There is no work around also...

This report that network magic isn't installed on other computers in the network when it is. I instaled it in the hope that it would solover a shareing issue, it didn't. and when I removed it it cause the machines that were shareing to stop and the printer shareing got screwed as well.
