Can anyone help me please, i am a novice at this. i have quake 2 and when i try to run it on my pc (windows xp)it tells me that the system file is not suitable for running ms dos and microsoft windows applications, is there any way i can get this game to work, any help would be appriciated . thank you in advance ken

(Because this 2nd one here? Points you to FREE & HIGHLY modified versions of ALL kinds of games (even some from the DOS era) that have been ported to Win32 & OpenGL/DirectX... )

Applying these mods to older games you have is very much like getting NEW games outta your old ones, & certainly better ones!

Well, the 2 mods of Quake2 in it are EXCELLENT - Especially "Quake2 Evolved"... OR, "Quake2 MAX". BOTH are way better than std. OpenGL type Quake2 by far, trust me on that!

(In fact, I'll still play 'em on occasion in fact because they're that good/much better than std. Quake II & on today's machines, even with added overhead of the mods? SUPER-FAST PERFORMERS! )
