Earlier this summer Amped Wireless announced plans for a new high powered Dual-Band router, the R20000G High Power Dual Band Router. The R20000G is designed for homes and business by allowing simultaneous dual band Wi-Fi to users with a reported coverage distance of 10,000 square feet. This is the same distance as that of a Major League Baseball field. Not only does Amped Wireless attempt to boost signal strength and coverage, the dual-band antennas are rated at 300 Mbps over each of the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands respectively for 600 Mbps. Even though this is a theoretical average, connecting at these speeds should be sufficient enough to stream your favorite HD videos and other multimedia as well as any voice over IP or other networked products.
