Since first encountering Synology a few years ago we have been constantly impressed with their network storage solutions. Designed for home or small business use the DiskStation range includes entry level single bay, mid-range dual bay and top of the range four bay models. With excellent performance and a quality build we continually rated their products very highly.

On our test bench today we will be taking a look at Synology's newest four bay network storage device, the DS413j. We will also be having a quick look at some of the new features on the latest version of Synology's operating system DiskStation Manager (DSM) 4.1.
