The Toshiba Satellite P845-S4200 is a 14-inch laptop that features a solid aluminum design, a third-gen Intel CPU and a large 750GB hard drive. This combination offers really great performance but the keyboard could have a better design.

The design of the Toshiba P845 features a stylish chassis that has a mixture of black, chrome and silver. The lid is made of aluminum and has a brushed metal finish that looks really good and repels fingerprints too. The laptop weighs 13.7 x 9.2 x 1.1-inches (wdh) and weighs 4.2-pounds, which puts it at a slightly smaller size, yet heavier, compared to the Dell Inspiron 14z.

Toshiba's island-style keyboard is a little too cramped for our liking as there is enough room to make it wider because there's about an inch of wasted space on either side. The keys are well-sized, however, but the whole keyboard feels a little too shallow. The keyboard isn't backlit, however, which is a disappointment.
