Antec HCG 750W Gold Power Supply Unit Review

It may not feature the best price/performance ratio on the other side of the Atlantic currently but for EU based consumers things can't get much better than the High Current Gamer 750W Gold by Antec.

Avast Pro Antivirus Review

Avast Pro is a strong antivirus software, but it lacks the adequate extras to justify the higher price over its sibling, Avast Free.

Biostar Racing X570GT8 Motherboard Review

For those looking for lots of M.2 support on a budget, the Biostar X570GT8 is easy to recommend. Just note that there’s no Wi-Fi here. And our overclocking experience wasn’t the best.

Corsair has been a large player in the PC peripheral market for quite a few years. All the way back to 2011, I can remember rocking their Vengeance series of headsets, and today we go back to their roots with the HS series and the new HS35 Stereo.

Corsair is one of the hottest names in the PC market. Theyve got everything from power supplies to full gaming PCs on offer. However, while people love their bigger hardware, theyre peripherals are what were here to celebrate today. Theyre known for their £100+ mechanical behemoths most of all.

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC 8G Graphics Card Review

The mid-range graphics card market is full of cards now, from both AMD and NVIDIA. We recently took a look at Sapphire’s Pulse RX 5700, which matches up well against NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2060 Super cards. Today we are actually taking a look at our first GeForce RTX 2060 Super, which comes from Gigabyte. It is their RTX 2060 Super Gaming OC 8G, which as you can guess is a factory-overclocked card. Gigabyte has outfitted this card with their triple-fan WindForce 3X cooling solution, a pretty hefty overclock up to 1815 MHz (vs 1650 MHz reference), a full-cover metal backplate, and even RGB lighting. This card is only $20 more than reference cards so with the nice overclock and better cooling solution it should easily be worth the extra money. Read on as we find out!

HiFiMAN Sundara Planar Magnetic Headphones Review

The HiFiMAN Sundara is the name of the wildly successful HE-400i which set the bar in terms of sound quality for entry-level planar magnetic headphones. The Sundara is roughly the same form factor, but a lot has happened on the design front. The Sundara features a new headband, new cup, and new pads, which are more in line with their higher-end offerings.

How to use Vodka in your Watercooling Loop

For as long as PC enthusiasts have been building water loops the question of "what liquid they should use" has been at the forefront. Asetek said it best, Distilled Water. That is by far the best fluid to use at least when it comes to heat capacity.

As we know things like algae growth and corrosion can be a problem when using pure water and is why we now have specialized fluids for our PC water loops. You also shouldn’t be surprised that the primary ingredient of these coolants is distilled water due to its ability to store massive amounts of heat without a sharp rise in temperature. It all has something to do with "specific heat" so I'll let you research that on your own.

Metallic Gear Neo-G Mini Review

The Metallic Gear Neo-G Mini is a fancy version of the Neo Mini with a glass front in addition to the glass side panel. From the minds behind Phanteks, the brand aims to offer their very own mainstream approach to enclosures, and the Neo-G Mini turns out to be quite the fun enclosure to work with, clearly and unapologetically showing off its roots.

Philips Brilliance 329P9H 31.5in Monitor Review

Its a bit of a monster, find out if this screen can justify the high asking price. One of the promises of USB-C was that it could be the “one cable to rule them all” for hooking a notebook to a monitor. The bandwidth available is enough for 4K video, and the power delivery potentially sufficient to power and charge a laptop. But not all USB-C connections offer this ability. Fortunately, the Philips Brilliance 329P9H includes USB-C that meets all the requirements. So you can dock your notebook with a single wire, and that’s not the only cutting-edge feature this screen has to offer.

POWER9 & ARM Performance Against Intel Xeon Cascadelake + AMD EPYC Rome

For those wondering how ARM and IBM POWER hardware stack up against AMD's new EPYC "Rome" processors and that of Intel's existing Xeon "Cascade Lake" processors, here is a round of tests from the POWER9 Talos II, Ampere eMAG, and Cavium ThunderX in looking at the cross-architecture Linux CPU performance currently in the server space.

Rivet Networks: Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 Review

802.11ax is set to be the biggest gain in Wi-Fi since we moved from 802.11g to 802.11n. Coming off a rather successful launch of the Wi-Fi 5 AC1550 part last year, Rivet Networks is ready for the next generation.

Like the AC1550, the new AX1650 part is built with Rivet's partnership with Intel. The underlying AX200 chipset from Intel gives a unique level of control to the Killer Intelligence Engine, allowing hardware-level management for increased performance.

Scan 3XS Vengeance RTX Ti Fluid Review

Can an AMD Ryzen base unit command top dollar? AMD's re-emergence in the consumer desktop space is all but complete. Having started by eating away at Intel's dominance with first-generation Ryzen CPUs back in 2017, the firm's third-generation parts now pack enough firepower to challenge at the top-end of the scale where enthusiasts spend the big bucks.

System integrators are responding in kind, with Scan Computers choosing to send in a Ryzen 3rd Gen base unit priced at a whopping £4,000. Does an AMD rig make sense in an arena which has traditionally proven to be off limits? Let's get stuck in.
