Intel’s 955 chipset is currently their top of the range desktop chip and brings with it support for their new Dual Core processors and well as EM64T. Together with the Intel ICH7R chipset it brings some very exciting features to the desktop. Two of these include Serial ATA II (300 MB/s) supporting RAID (0, 1, 5 and 10) and 7.1 high definition audio.
Abit are one of the very first manufacturers to release a motherboard based on these new chips. Not only that, but Abit are one of only three manufacturers currently carrying the new Dolby Master Studio certification.
