ABIT BD7II-raid - i845 Review

Hardware-Test has posted a review on the ABIT BD7II-raid motherboard
It simply does not pay to have external SCSI units anymore; with USB2.0 you get a bandwidth of 480Mbit/s, standard LAN bandwidth is 100Mbit/s. USB2.0 is also a bit faster than its “older sister” FireWire (400Mbit/s) or IEEE1394 as it is called in the PC world.
I have tested USB2.0 with a Lacie Studiodrive 16x10x40 burner. The motherboard is rock stable, when you are not overcloking, and for a minor server I would not hesitate on recommending this motherboard.
