Elite Bastards posted a review on the AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition
After numerous delays, AMD's Phenom CPUs finally came to desktop users late last year, albeit at lower clock speeds than initially anticpated and with performance that never really threatened to put much of a dent in the domination of Intel's Core 2 architecture. This state of affairs has led to AMD using Phenom to compete aggressively from a pricing perspective, as well as trying to lure overclockers over to its cause with the subject of today's review - The Phenom 9600 Black Edition. With an unlocked multiplier and a sub-£150 price point, this CPU promises to be a potential overclocking nirvana. So, does it live up to that billing?
