Way back in 1985, a little hardware company named ATI opened it's doors for business. Nearly 10 years after another company by the name of NVIDIA decided that it was time for them to get in on the action, so in 1993 they did. Since then the two companies have become the two juggernauts of the graphics card industry. If you can imagine Godzilla and King Kong in a boxing ring going round for round dealing each other nearly knockout punches every time either swung, then you can get an idea of the rivalry between these two companies.
