Beyond 3D has posted an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 review
ATI recently announced their latest, highest performance, mobile graphics solution, Mobility Radeon
9700, based on the M11 mobile graphics chip. ATI left the announcment until it was shipping in products and today we are looking at the performance of Mobility Radeon 9700 in one of the implementations it is already available in.
"As with the change in the desktop space from RV350 to RV360 there are no functional differences between Mobility Radeon 9600's M10 chip to M11, hence there are no die differences for the most part, the primary difference is purely down to the process. M10 used TSMC's .13=B5 whereas M11 uses TSMC's
.13=B5 low-k process which results in the die having lower thermal outputs as the same speeds as M10 or similar outputs at higher speeds.
