For anyone who has ever doubted the low bandwidth wireless technology known as Bluetooth, the joke's on you. Bluetooth popularity and functionality is now higher than ever. With version 1.2 available, Bluetooth can natively perform functions like transmitting high quality stereo sound and receiving pictures wirelessly from Bluetooth enabled camera phones and new Bluetooth enabled digital cameras. This is unpleasant news for anyone who has an old (v1.1) adapter, as they do not support the profiles v1.2 offers. However, for anyone who has yet to make their computer Bluetooth enabled, now is a great time because v1.2 Bluetooth adapters are rapidly becoming available.
