Corsair 1GB XPERT Series 3200XL Memory @ SystemCooling

As a technology, DDR memory is pretty mature. Performance improvements on the platform, while certainly not at a complete standstill, are incremental at best these days. For most manufacturers, this means that maintaining market share requires more than just fast timings and overclockability. Consumers not only want their speed, they want looks, too. This was the driving force behind Corsair's introduction of their Pro series memory modules. The Pro modules added looks, in the form of LED activity lights, to the company's already top-notch performance memory. Of course, more than one memory maker has followed suit, so the uniqueness of the effect has waned a great deal. Never content to rest on past achievements, Corsair has introduced the next generation of memory that combines performance with bling. What we're looking at today is a 1GB set of Corsair's top of the line 3200XL modules. Called the XPERT series, Corsair has taken their best low-latency PC3200 RAM and mated it to an advanced programmable LED display. The result is impressive to say the least.
