Of all the new platform standards that've emerged over the past few years, DDR2 is easily having the most growing pains. Where the SATA introduction has gone smoothly and the PCI-E shift appears to be on track after a
bumpy start, DDR2 remains stuck in relative mediocrity. Nearly one year after its introduction, motherboard manufacturers report relatively poor sales from products based on Intel 915 / 925 products; the motherboard manufacturers we've spoken to have generally confirmed the trends discussed in the news blurb above.
