Corsair Memory Announced as Official Memory of ACON5

Fremont, California, March 17, 2005: Corsair Memory, Inc., a global leader in ultra-performance DDR memory modules for PC gamers and enthusiasts, is excited to be announced as the Official Memory of ACON5. Corsair Memory, along with the other ACON5 partners, ABIT, Intel, ATi, LG and Creative expect that ACON5 will be the largest "open-to-everyone" gaming competition to be held in 2005.

Corsair Marketing Director, Joe James commented on why Corsair worked hard to be a part of ACON5, saying, "Corsair is so supportive of ACON5 because ACON5 is open to all gamers -- no invitations required and no high ticket price to join. ACON5 will take place in more than 20 countries and territories worldwide. Gamers first participate in the Regional Finals. From there, the winners will be flown, all expenses paid, to the ACON5 Global Finals located in a yet undisclosed exotic location. Last year, Warcraft III: Frozen Throne was chosen to be the official game. For ACON5, organizers have added Counter-Strike, the world's number one online game.
"In Asia alone, ACON5 will be held in almost 100 cities," noted Corsair Sales Director of Asia, Scott Thirlwell. "Gaming in Asia is very popular. I am proud that Corsair is the memory that will be driving all the ACON5 Gaming PCs in an event as large and exciting as ACON5."
European Sales Director, Paul Watkins explained his keen interest in being a partner of ACON5, "Corsair, along with the other ACON5 partners ABIT, Intel, LG, ATI and Creative have seen substantial growth in Europe over the years.
