While DDR remains everything but obsolete due to high-priced DDR2 modules, lack of selection, incompatibility with older chipsets, and no significant performance difference, manufacturers will continue to invest in creating new DDR modules. A few weeks back, Corsair launched their new line of memory modules, the TwinX1024-4400C25 which runs at 550MHz while managing to retain the aggressive timings of 2.5-4-4-8, making this Corsair's fastest ever DDR modules.
