MBReview has put up a comparison review between Crucial's PC2700 module against Corsair Micro's XMS3000v1.1 module.
This is probably the most important area everyone will be interested in. Just how high did they go? Well, pretty damn high! We were able to achieve an amazing 200MHz memory speed with our Corsair XMS3000 @ 2.5CL. The only reason I couldn’t go higher I believe is due to the limitations of my Pentium 4. In the coming weeks I’ll update this comparison with testing on an AMD platform where I’ll be able to find the absolute peak performance for this module. The Crucial RAM did not fair as well, “only” reaching a speed of 184MHz stably. Anything higher and I would begin to get random errors and lockups.
