AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE Black Edition CPU Review
Benchmark Reviews posted a review on the AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE Black Edition AM3 CPU

Three is a number not normally associated with processors, although it's actually gaining momentum thanks to Intel's triple-channel memory architecture that caters to the 3GB sweet-spot for Windows XP. Dispite this, a triple-core processor just doesn't seem natural to many of us, because we're so used to seeing everything come in twos. But three isn't a bad thing at all, because AMD's Phenom II X3 720 BE processor is actually quite good. Benchmark Reviews compares the 2.8GHz Black Edition AM3/AM2+ CPU against the Intel Core i7-920 and other AMD processors. You might be surprised by how well the odd man out can fit in.

AMD Phenom II X4 720 Black Edition Review
Neoseeker reviews the AMD Phenom II X4 720 Black Edition

AMD is squarely targeting the enthusiast crowd with this chip: the unlocked multiplier, along with the stated intent to price it similarly to the Core 2 Duo E8400, both make it clear that they are gunning for the overclocking crowd.

But despite the poor economy and reduced numbers of computers shipped, not all is doom and gloom in the computer market. Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 X58 Motherboard Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 X58 motherboard

Today, we will be reviewing the EX58-UD5, which is the second most high-end model in Gigabyte's current roster, and which is largely differentiated from the EXTREME model by its lack of the elaborate Hybrid Silent-Pipe 2 cooling system. The omission of the more impressive cooling system doesn't seem to have diminished interest in this motherboard, since this is the model that consumers are buying in spades and it is easy to see
why.

Noctua NH-U12P SE 1366 Review
OCC has published a new review on the Noctua NH-U12P SE 1366

The biggest thing I can bring forward here is the fact that no matter what cooler you have the I7 is going to run warm. The key is finding the combination of heatsink and fans that meet your needs. As delivered from the manufacturers, both the Noctua NH-12P 1366 and TRUE 1366 are nice pieces in their own right. The performance of the Noctua NH-U12P in this test was what I would call excellent in the face of disaster. It delivered great temperatures by comparison and did so with virtually no noise. The NF-P12 fans run at a low 1300 R.P.M. and are practically inaudible. This initially caused me some concern with temperatures creeping into the 80+ Celsius range I was sure the computer had shut down multiple times due to overheating but was pleasantly surprised each time to see the fans chugging away doing their best to help dissipate the heat load generated by the Core I7 965, both at the default and overclocked frequencies.
